Caroline Minchew (b. 1992, Arlington, VA) is a lens-based artist based in New York and Virginia. She received her MFA in Photography from Virginia Commonwealth University (2022) and her BA in Studio Arts and Spanish from Sewanee University of the South (2014). Caroline has participated in residencies at Oak Spring Garden Foundation, Edward Albee Foundation, High Desert Test Sites, NARS Foundation, Penland School of Arts and Crafts, and Burren College of Art. Her work has been shown most recently at Muscarelle Museum of Art at William & Mary (Williamsburg, VA), The Carlos Gallery (Sewanee, TN), Bond Millen Gallery (Richmond, VA), and Candela Gallery (Richmond, VA). Her photographic works are housed in the permanent collections of the National Museum of American History and the National Gallery of Art Photograph Study Collection in Washington, DC.
